My taste buds have become more sensitive to the different natural flavors of food

I took up Radiant Living’s healthy cooking session on 24 June 2017. It was an amazing experience for me as I have been cooking for more than 40 years, yet I have not seen a simpler way of cooking that is not only tastier and flavorful but more importantly, healthier.

I am a Stage 1 Breast Cancer survivor with Diabetes and Fatty Liver when I was introduced to Corrine in March this year. While having coffee with her, Corrine explained that many of our bodily symptoms and problems ultimately come from many years of unhealthy eating, and that it is possible to turn our situation around if we want to. I am grateful for this second chance and am thankful that Corrine is willing to help me understand and alter my way of preparing food and lifestyle.

During the cooking session in June, I have discovered many new ingredients and have also realized that I do not need to use any artificial ingredients or flavoring agents in my cooking. I have started to appreciate this highly portable and economical way of cooking, which is classy and suitable for a cancer survivor like me.

Now, this new method of preparing has been educational for me, as I have learnt to appreciate the natural taste of food without the overwhelming taste of sauce which I am so accustomed to for so many years. As a matter of fact, my taste buds have become more sensitive to the different natural flavors of food. I am thankful to Corrine for her love and guidance and for going the extra mile to care for me during my critical period of recovery from the cancer treatment.
